This is part two of my March’s Mascara Mondays series and this week I’m sharing with you a ridiculously cheap mascara. In fact, I think you’ll struggle to find a cheaper one than this on the market. But is it a bargain find or a dud?
The mascara I reviewed in part one was not particularly purse friendly (catch up on the review here) so I thought I’d contrast it with this one by Technic which costs only 99p! The only trouble is, it’s not the easiest to get hold of. I received this for Christmas so I didn’t go out and buy it myself but I think the person who bought it for me said you can get them in Bodycare. I have also found them online, but the packaging is slightly different.
There’s not a great deal to say about the packaging itself – it’s hot pink (my favourite colour) and it’s simple. I mentioned how heavy the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is and in contrast this is very light.
It has plastic / rubber bristles which I’m so torn on – I thought for a very long time that I hated these kind of wands but I’ve tried a few recently which have done wonders for my lashes so perhaps I’m into them after all.
The formula of this mascara is amazing. It adds loads of length and volume but never, ever clumps. It separates my lashes, fanning them out and making me look like I have loads. It’s extremely long lasting and doesn’t transfer at all. Honestly, it does it all. If I had to say one negative thing, it’s that the wand doesn’t pick up much product so it feels like it’d dried up / run out very quickly. Here’s how it looks on my lashes…
I mean…. it’s pretty spectacular for a 99p mascara right?! I highly recommend tracking it down because it’s such a hidden gem. I’ve spent in excess of £25 on a mascara before which doesn’t perform anywhere near as well as this one. I have found it online here.
What do you think? Would you swap your high end mascaras for this one? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. As always, thank you so much reading.
