It’s safe to say that a Beauty Bay voucher is the best present you can buy me for Christmas and New Year… and my in-laws do not let me down! They kindly gave me some vouchers for Christmas which I’ve been saving for any big new launches but honestly, I got tired of waiting and instead picked out some things which I already had on my wishlist. Does anyone else get like that – the voucher burns a hole in your wallet?! This isn’t a big haul but there’s some lovely goodies here…
Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Nudes Set | £22 | available here
ABH Liquid Lipsticks are some of my absolute faves but I was yet to try any of their other lip products so when I saw this little set I thought it’d be a good chance to try them out. I didn’t realise until they arrived that they’re minis, but I don’t mind that too much as I rarely go through a whole lipstick (maybe because my collection is ridiculous) so having a mini is quite enough. Each lipstick is 1.3g and when split out, they’re only £5.50 each. The shades included are:
- Spice – Rosy oak
- Kiss – Rosy petal pink
- Dead Roses – Rosy lilac
- Soft Pink – Blushing pink
Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Coco Bling | £21 | available here
I’ve been dying to try these actual fairy dusts for aaages! Auntie Jackie (or Jackie Aina, in case you didn’t know) collaborated with Artist Couture (aka Mac Daddy… are you keeping up?) on two Diamond Glow Powders but unfortunately they have not launched on Beauty Bay. But the core range of shades has launched and the one I’ve been most drawn to is Coco Bling which is described as a light silver iridescent shade. I have to admit, I’ve been so preoccupied with the ABH x Amrezy highlighter (read my full review here) to give this one a proper go but I am going to force myself to hide the ABH one and try this one instead! So I’ll report back when I can… would anyone be interested in a full review?
Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Duo Chrome Liquid Eye Shadow in Wanderlust | £23 | available here
For so long the Stila Magnificent Metals were at the top of my anti-haul list because the hype around them was just insane and I couldn’t see why I needed them. I also think they’re a bit steep for what they are. Yet here we are, hauling one. I must say it was this particular shade which drew me in, my opinion overall hasn’t changed. I just loved the duo chrome shade of Wanderlust which is a sheer gold with pink glitter. Again, I’m yet to play around with this properly as I’ve not had a reason to go full on glittery eye look for a while, but I think now Spring is (hopefully) on its way, I’ll be going for more tones like this and I’ll be able to amp up the looks with some serious sparkle.
Here are some swatches of all the items…
Keep an eye out for some more in depth reviews of these as I’ll be trying them out properly very soon. What are your thoughts? Have you tried any of them? Let me know in the comments below. Thank you so much for reading…
