It’s safe to say that a Beauty Bay voucher is the best present you can buy me for Christmas and New Year… and my in-laws do not let me down! They kindly gave me some vouchers for Christmas which I’ve been saving for any big new launches but honestly, I got tired of waiting and instead picked out some things which I already had on my wishlist. Does anyone else get like that – the voucher burns a hole in your wallet?! This isn’t a big haul but there’s some lovely goodies here…
For anyone who hasn’t heard of / seen Amrezy, let me tell you that she is 100% GLOW GOALS. Nobody shines like her, she’s unreal. So as soon as her collaboration with Anastasia Beverley Hills was announced I knew it was going to be all of our glowing dreams come true. I haven’t been this excited about a highlighter launch since the Becca x Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop hysteria. Therefore, as a self-confessed highlighter obsessive I felt it my duty to buy it and to review it for you all.
I was scrolling though Twitter earlier this week and I don’t know what sparked it but I had a *ping blog post idea* moment. This hasn’t happened very often in my blogging life – I don’t consider myself to be a very innovative or creative person, I just like talking about makeup and stuff. Now, I’m not saying that this has never been done before, in fact there’s probably a tag going around but I haven’t seen any posts of this nature before so I’m going with it.
The idea is to look through my collection and put together a full face of makeup using all my most expensive products. It will be a two part series (does two constitute a series?!), with the second part coming next week. The second part will be the opposite end of the spectrum, a full face using, yep you guessed it, my least expensive products. I’m toying with the idea of doing a third part with a half and half makeup look to compare the two to see whether it’s worth spending more on certain products – now that I have seen before, but they’re more ‘a full face of dupes’ type posts.
If you follow me on Instagram (I mean, if you don’t…you should do so here) you might have seen me hauling the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette in my recent Instagram Stories. You will also have heard my excitement at finally having my hands on this palette. It’s definitely one I’ve had my eye on since it launched last year but couldn’t fully justify buying as it wasn’t different enough from anything else in my collection. But you know how it is, the January sales start, you’ve got some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket, the stars align and you splurge #NoRegrets.
Today I’m sharing with you my most worn liquid lipsticks – I’ve gathered together the ones I seem to reach for 99% of the time. Yes, I’m sure you’ll see a theme of the type of shade I tend to go for!
